Company identity and location
Blue Cowboy Pictures is a DBA and production banner of Blue Cowboy LLC; it is not presented as a separate incorporated entity. The Company is establishing a New Mexico base and is available for production collaborations in California. The site does not claim a physical office in both states.
Blue Cowboy LLC and BISTI Studios Inc. are separate entities. Featuring a project here does not establish BISTI’s ownership, a completed intercompany license, or a confirmed production partnership. Each entity’s role and authority depend on the applicable project agreements.
Local collaboration and regional vision
References to Farmington, the Four Corners, and New Mexico describe the founder’s roots and the Company’s development priorities. Statements about local work, training, sourcing, and collaboration describe objectives, not verified economic outcomes or guaranteed opportunities. The Company identifies working partnerships with San Juan County, Film New Mexico (New Mexico Film Office), and the City of Farmington. Those relationships do not imply government endorsement of an individual screenplay, financing offer, or production, nor do they grant location access or incentive approval.
Development is not a production commitment
The slate describes projects in development. No listing announces secured financing, greenlit production, distribution, a production date, or confirmed cast or crew. Any subsequent commitment depends on the necessary rights, approvals, funding, and executed agreements. Public disclosure of project materials must also be authorized.
WATCH ME DIE
Feature project in development. Underlying-material rights, collaborator approvals, credits, and the relevant entity agreements require confirmation before public promotion or production commitments. Its appearance here is not a claim that Blue Cowboy LLC exclusively owns all elements of the project or that a BISTI license has closed.
MiNE
Feature project in development; production remains contingent. Any clearance for a particular screenplay version or submission does not, by itself, establish clearance of every earlier short-film element, promotional asset, production use, or distribution right. The scope of applicable rights and permissions must be documented for each intended use.
The Broken Circle
Proposed limited-series adaptation of Rodney Barker’s The Broken Circle. Current option status, permitted uses, required credits, and public-promotion authority remain subject to verification of the applicable agreements.
The logline describes a dramatized creative treatment. Supernatural elements and rumors belong to that dramatic interpretation; they are not presented as verified historical facts or as a statement about Diné beliefs. Depictions of historical events, identifiable people, and communities require separate factual, cultural, and legal review.
Identifying the underlying author is descriptive attribution, not a claim that final contractual credit language or adaptation rights have been settled.
Photography and film imagery
The Angel Peak landscape photograph is by Alexander Hatley, used under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0. View the original photograph and source record. The image is displayed with responsive cropping and a dark overlay for text legibility. No photographer endorsement is implied. It depicts a real New Mexico landscape, not a secured Company filming location.
The MiNE frame and trailer are from the completed 2021 short, with cinematography by Leonidas Jaramillo. They are distinct from the MiNE feature in development. The coaching image is a frame from Shawn-Caulin Young’s Book Your Role marketing footage. The separately labeled MiNE and Stand/Still posters retain the completed works’ original marketing art and credits.
Logo and copyright
The Blue Cowboy logo and animation identify the production banner. Their use here does not represent that a trademark is federally registered. The website copyright notice applies only to rights properly held by Blue Cowboy LLC; it does not claim third-party rights or guarantee copyright protection for AI-generated elements. Asset permissions and any contractual credits must be confirmed before public release.
Archival film credits
Completed shorts are included as part of Shawn-Caulin Young’s filmography. Their inclusion does not reassign original production credits to Blue Cowboy LLC or BISTI Studios Inc. Original poster and trailer credits are retained. The Stand/Still poster names Four Corners Pictures and other collaborators; the accompanying biography uses the co-director credit reflected in the festival record. The MiNE short and the MiNE feature in development are identified separately.
Further use
No screenplay, underlying-work, production, or exploitation rights are offered through the website. Material use and business arrangements require permission from the appropriate parties. See the Terms of Use and Submissions Policy.
Working relationships and past recognition
Named collaborators and industry relationships are described at the Company level; they do not announce an attachment to every development project, exclusive access to talent, agency representation, or third-party endorsement. Engagements remain subject to individual agreement and availability. Awards listed on this site relate to Shawn-Caulin Young’s specified prior work, including the MiNE short, and are not awards for the feature in development.
Production incentive support
Production planning support does not itself establish eligibility for a New Mexico tax credit. Eligibility and credits depend on current rules, project facts, documentation, and state review. Obtain advice from qualified production accounting, tax, and legal professionals.
